Tax incentives approved for Northeast El Paso mixed-use development

El Paso, TX (KTSM) — El Paso City Council approved tax incentives for the developer looking to bring a smart code project to Northeast El Paso.
Cavillion Developers is looking to build a mixed-use property on Fairbanks near Rushing with retail shops on bottom and apartments on top. The project will include an art gallery, a bookstore and a flower shop.
On Tuesday, council agreed to give the developer a five year tax abatement worth about $3,100 and also waived about $10,000 worth of permit fees.
