EL PASO - With the rain we've been having, many roads become slick and can even flood. But residents in east El Paso say nothing compares to the Montwood river.

One neighbor said he regularly puts sandbags around his property because the rain overflows into his yard.

Others say the flooding has been a problem whenever it rains for quite some time, and that they were promised something would be done it.

We asked district 7 representative Steve Ortega about the project, and in a written statement, he told us, "I believe the design is funded and should be complete next year. After the design is completed then funds will be programmed for reconstruction pursuant to the design."

Greedy builders, and developers knew fully well homes that were built in flood zones, and arroyos, which are natural ducts for flood waters. Once they got their money, that's it, it's homeowners problems. The developers knew this before breaking ground, their greed got to their heads. These people have no conscious, and should be held accountable for their illegal activities. This would involve the entire city hall, who signed off on this con game, so this is why there is no action being
