EL PASO — It was Taco Bell's 50th anniversary Thursday, and at the center of the party is the "Dorito Loco Taco." A line of tacos will now be served with shells made entirely from Doritos. 

The company is trying to save its wounded brand after a lawsuit last year that falsely accused the fast-food chain of stuffing its beef with filler.

A new products guru from research firm Mintel says the link-up of the snack food and the fast food could be one of the biggest successes of 2012.
