TABC Closes Doors of 3 Bars Over Shootings, Violations

EL PASO — The permits of three bars were canceled after recent shootings and evidence of violations involving possession of illicit alcoholic beverages and refilling containers.
Shooters EP also known as Shooters Billiards, Exquisite Night Club and Las Socias closed the doors to their businesses, waiving their right to an administrative hearing.
Any time a permit is canceled for cause due to a shooting, stabbing or other violent act, a new permit cannot be issued at that location for at least 12 months. This provides a “cooling off” period with the hopes that if another business opens, it won’t be a similar public safety concern.
