Borderland - - - Swine Flu claimed two more lives in the Borderland. One of them is a nine year old boy in Northeast El Paso.

Brandon Gonzales was a fourth grader at Lawrence Nixon Elementary. School leaders confirmed he had H1N1. Parents are concerned...

"I would like to know if my child is in any type of danger. Especially with everything that's going on with the swine flu and you know.

School district leaders say they will send home notices tomorrow. They also say they have no reason to be worried. The attendance rate is near 97% at the school. The principal of Lawrence Nixon Elementary says classrooms are being cleaned more often.

Gonzales was buried this afternoon. He is now the 10th person in El Paso County to die of Swine Flu this year. We do not know if he had an underlying condition that led to his death.

An H1N1 death is also reported in Dona Ana County. The victim is a 27 year old woman. The health department says she had no underlying medical conditions. No other information is being released.

I am a grandmother of 2 little boy's, pre-k and 2nd they too go to Nixon. We also take my other grandson 5months to take his 4yr.old brothe to school. So sad a little child (Brandon) passed away caused of illnes, any child who passes in such such young age is saddened, but my concern is if he did die of swine flue how soon did the school know for you the media to know this. Parent's should know and alot may jump to any conclusions, and hopefully they won't get kids out. Will the school or parent's when there child gets sick is going to jump and point fingers? Poor this family our heart go out to them.
