Suspects Sought in Flatbed Trailer Theft

A flatbed trailer loaded with 40-thousand pounds of copper plates was stolen late Monday morning. El Paso police seek assistance in identifying the individuals and vehicles responsible for the theft of the 2000 Transcraft Eagle Pole Trailer with Arizona plates 073N680 that was parked on Pollard.  

The tractor portion of the tractor/trailer was not attached to the flatbed trailer while parked on Pollard and between the hours of 11:30 a.m. and 12:45 p.m., the trailer was hitched to the suspect tractor and stolen. The suspect Tractor is described as white in color and may be a Freightliner Century.

Investigators have been able to obtain a photograph of a suspect vehicle that may have been involved in the theft.  Detectives are asking anybody with information as to the identity of the person(s) responsible for taking the trailer and the copper to call police at (915) 832-4400.
