Investigators say he is the suspected ringleader of a gas-theft operation and tonight he is no longer behind bars. Salvador Armendariz posted bond. It was set at $12,000.
Six others remain in jail. Sheriff's deputies arrested all of them Wednesday in a scheme to siphon gas from local transports and sell the product at a big discount.
