Surveillance Released in String of Northeast Robberies
EL PASO — The same suspect robs three convenience stores in the northeast on the same night, then commits another robbery exactly one month later, making this the Crime Stoppers “Crime of the Week.”
On Thursday, Feb. 23rd, minutes before midnight, the suspect robbed the 7-11 store at 10300 McCombs, pointing to a bulge in his jacket pocket which the clerk thought was a gun. Shortly after 1:00 AM the same night, the same suspect robbed the 7-11 store at 5201 Fairbanks and again pointed to what the clerk thought was a weapon in his jacket pocket. About an hour later, the suspect robbed a third 7-11 store at 9061 Dyer. Exactly one month later, Mar. 23rd, the same suspect robbed the 7-11 store at 8300 Dyer.
Surveillance video from all four stores confirms that the suspect is the same in all four robberies. He is described as a white man, about 30 years old and 6-feet tall with a thin build. In all four robberies he was wearing a beanie-type cap and a black zippered jacket.
