Supervised parental visits allowed for children in foster care
El Paso, TX (KTSM) — Foster children can now have their parents visit them in the state of Texas. State Representative Naomi Gonzalez of El Paso's bill passed the house on Friday.
According to the bill, House Bill 1453 allows parents visitation rights as long as they visit their kids in a safe setting.
It also states that if children are older than 16-years-old, they may be transitioned into an independent lifestyle if authorities deem it possible.
