The Yselta Independent School District will soon have an opening for a new superintendent.

After four years of leading YISD, current superintendent Michael Zolkoski is retiring and tonight the school board will discuss when he will officially depart.

Zolkoski has been with YISD for four years and has helped raise test scores during his tenure.

School board members will discuss the timeline for Zolkoski's retirement and who will be placed as the interim superintendent at the meeting tonight.

Zolkoski says he's moving back to East Texas to be closer to his elderly parents who need care.
