SUNLAND PARK, NM - He enforced the law, and now he's charged with breaking it. A Sunland Park police officer remains in jail, accused of raping his long-time girlfriend at knifepoint.

Officer Juan Saucedo allegedly beat, raped and threatened to kill his girlfriend of four years. According to court documents, he pulled her dress up with one hand, and rubbed the blade of his knife against her thighs, and later held it to her face.

Saucedo is currently on non-paid administrative leave.

"Officer Saucedo has been with us for a little over two-and-a-half years, and we have not had any previous incidents concerning him in this magnitude or any instance," said Javier Diaz, with the Sunland Park Police Dept.

Saucedo faces six different counts, including criminal sexual penetration, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and battery against a household member.

Was the woman a mexican citizen? Was her visa ready to expire? Maybe he didnt want to marry her and she wanted free citizenship, so she is making false accusations in order to get her citizenship free of cost. This man could be a victom of fortune. It is happening very often these days.
