Sun Metro detours four routes along Oregon due to Downtown construction
Sun Metro will be required to detour routes 34, 35, 36 and 50 (inbound/southbound only) beginning Wednesday due to the partial closure of Oregon Street (southbound lane only) between Main Street and Texas Avenue.
The bus stop on Oregon Street near Texas Avenue will not be serviced. Passengers are asked to please use the bus stop in front of the Greyhound station located on Santa Fe between San Antonio and Overland.
The street closure is necessary to accommodate street and drainage work associated with the renovations currently underway in San Jacinto Plaza.
A second bus detour will also be in effect during the weekday evenings (typically from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.) when Santa Fe is closed due to utility construction on Santa Fe between Missouri and Franklin.
Sun Metro staff will monitor the impacted areas and drivers will make courtesy stops along the detoured route as required.
