EL PASO — On-going construction along Alameda and overwhelming traffic congestion will force Sun Metro to detour six routes away from Alameda between Piedras and Paisano from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday beginning Tuesday, June 12.
Buses traveling westbound on Alameda will not be impacted at this time.
To address the two-mile service gap on Alameda between Piedras and Raynolds, Sun Metro will offer a free shuttle service from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Before 6 a.m. and after 6 p.m. buses will run the regular route.

Before 6 a.m. and after 6 p.m. buses will stay on Alameda, running the regular routes.

The free service will be provided using Sun Metro’s smaller vehicles typically used by the paratransit service. The buses will operate approximately every10 minutes from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

• At 5120 Alameda
Passengers wanting to catch a route near University Medical Center between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. can catch the free shuttle at the following temporary stops:

Passengers seeking a direct route from the Downtown Transfer Center to University Medical Center are encouraged to take Route 204.
Texas Tech passengers who typically catch a bus along Alameda will need to catch buses along Paisano.
