EL PASO— The Irish made the 2010 Hyundai Sun Bowl game look easy after playing against the University of Miami Hurricanes.

Notre Dame whipped the Hurricanes 33-17 in the first game between the two in 20 years.

The Hurricanes ended their season at 7-6. They've lost their past three games and four of their past five bowl games. Their last victory was in 2006 against Nevada when Larry Coker was still coaching.

Notre Dame is at 8-5, with the Sun Bowl victory being their fourth straight win.

The Sun Bowl had 54,021 in attendance— the largest crowd in Sun Bowl history.
