EL PASO - The staff at the Sun Bowl Association was busy today telling callers there were no more tickets to the Hyundai Sun Bowl.

"I'm sorry we are sold out. The universities are sold out also," one staffer told a caller.

Tickets sold out in less than 24 hours after the team match up was announced.

"This might be the fastest sell out of any event in El Paso," said Bernie Olivas, Executive Director of the Sun Bowl Association.

The game might be officially sold out, but Olivas says that won't stop people from re-selling tickets to make a profit or even scamming folks who think they're buying a legitimate ticket to the game.

"There's a lot of duplicate tickets out there. People will try to do anything to make an extra buck," warns Olivas.
Olivas says shop at your own risk if you decide to buy re-sold tickets. Every year he says the Sun Bowl Association hears of counterfeit tickets being sold.

"I'd like to warn everybody that if you don't get them through a legitimate source, like the Sun Bowl Association, Ticketmaster or the universities, then buyer beware."

If you didn't get a ticket to the game through one of those legit sources, the best bet for most may be not to risk it and just watch it on TV.

"I wish we could make the stadium seat 100,000 people and give everyone the chance to watch one of the greatest matchups the Sun Bowl has ever had."
