When it comes to pain, women feel it more than men. That's what researchers at Stanford University believe, after reviewing pain scores in the electronic medical records of more than 72,000 adults.

Women reported feeling more pain than male patients in just about every disease category.

It's been documented that women are more likely to suffer from fibromyalgia and migraine headaches.

These gender differences could impact research on pain medications, and their different effects on men and women.
