Study: Infections Cause Cancer

When we think about what causes cancer, usually factors like smoking, family history or other unhealthy behaviors come to mind. But, have you ever thought about how infections cause cancer?

A new study says about one in six cancer cases are caused by preventable or treatable infections;
like bacteria or parasites.

Experts said low-cost vaccines and other treatments could help reduce infections and bring down cancer rates.
