All of those anti-bacterial cleaning products that promise to keep people germ free, may actually be making them more prone to sickness.
Scientists said immune systems need contact with germs at a young age in order to prepare bodies to fight illness throughout life. They said elimination of all germs from children's surroundings can make immune systems too sensitive and more susceptible to allergies and asthma.
Researchers aren't suggesting abandoning good hygiene practices in our homes, but say people don't need to use anti-bacterial soaps or wipes, clean with bleach or even wash their clothes every day.
