Students who help pay for their college education work harder

Here's an interesting story for all you parents. A new study published in this month's American Sociological Review suggests students who contribute their own money to their college education may work harder.
Students whose parents take on more of the financial support, have more time for social and extracurricular activities while in college. That could lead to a lower grade point average.
