Students Provide Pumpkins For Children's Home
EL PASO - On Thursday, a UTEP student organization will spend their day with children at the Lee & Beulah Moor Children's Home.
Members of the Alpha Xi Delta sorority will help the children carve pumpkins. We're told around 60 UTEP students will supply the pumpkins and carving kits during the event.
"These children don't really get the chance to go out on Halloween night, so we come to them to carve pumpkins and give candy, but most of all we spend time getting to know them," Valerie Lerma said in a press release.
We're told the Lee & Beulah Moor Children's home was established in 1959, and it supports children and families who are experiencing difficulty in their lives.
