EL PASO - Close to 200 elementary school students in the Socorro Independent School District graduated from an anti-gang program last week.

It is called The GREAT Program, which stands for Gang Resistance, Education and Training.

Through the program, 189 6th graders learned about avoiding gangs and drugs. They also learned how to deal with issues like peer pressure and bullying.

Several local law enforcement agencies were there to hand out the awards and celebrate the graduation.
