"You're never too old, too wacky, too wild, to pick up a book and read to a child." That's a phrase by Theodor Seuss Geisel, also known as Dr. Seuss.

Many people around the United States are celebrating his 119th birthday, which is tomorrow by remembering the writer with Read Across America Day.

Kids at Crosby Elementary took part in this event along with some familiar faces.

News Channel Nine's Keagan Harsha and Beau Baguely were at the school today -- reading to these excited kids.

Read Across America is a nationwide event sponsored by the National Education Association and is always celebrated close to Dr. Seuss' birth day  -- which is March 2nd.
