EL PASO - El Paso Water Utilities says the second phase of the Lee Trevino Drainage Improvement project will begin today.
Because Lee Trevino Drive has significant flooding during storms, this project is intended to improve storm water drainage and improve public safety.
A statement from EPWU, says most of the construction will take place from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. However, traffic will be affected throughout the day because of lane closures on Lee Trevino.
The first stage is expected to be finished by May and the final stages should continue until about September.
