ICE agents with Homeland Security Investigations tell Newschannel 9 that the production and viewing of child pornography is about as bad in The Borderland as it is anywhere.

Predators here and elsewhere continue to exploit and abuse children by photographing them nude, and forcing them on videotape to engage in sex with adults, or with other kids. Countless others watch and download the images, and under the law, they are just as guilty and face severe criminal penalties, according to HSI.

In El Paso, HSI special agents are fighting back, using the same technology criminals themselves use:  They are hunting them through the internet.

In a Newschannel 9 Special Report Thursday night at 10, this reporter will take you inside HSI to show how agents carefully track an offender's browsing history, build a legal case against the suspect, then move in to arrest him and gather computers for evidence.

There is a special hotline that citizens can call to report anyone they suspect is involved in child pornography. That number is 1-866-DHS-2-ICE.

The Bible speaks of godless individuals who “suppress the truth,” saying, “although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. . . . Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth about God for a lie. . . . Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. . . .
