Spaceport bill passes Senate, heads to House
A bill protecting manufacturers and suppliers of Spaceport America is on a fast track to Governor Susana Martinez's desk.
Senate Bill 240, sponsored by Las Cruces' own Mary Kay Papen, was unanimously passed by the Senate Wednesday.
The bill would limit lawsuits against parts suppliers and manufacturers participating in building spacecraft used at the spaceport located just north of Doña Ana County.
The bill now goes on to the house.
