They thought it was a petty argument, but when they got to the apartments on Florence and Father Rahm, police found a woman murdered and a man with several stab wounds. The killer got away.

"Once the officers were on the scene, they did find two victims. A 32 year-old female that died on the scene, 32 year old male, who was taken to University Medical Center, with non-life threatening injuries, and a 30 year-old female who received minor injuries and did not require any medical attention," said Javier Sambrano, spokesperson for the El Paso Police Department.

The stabbings allegedly happened after 4 am this morning. Officers were on their way to the apartment complex expecting to stop a fight, but whatever happened between the people involved turned deadly.

"Right now we're in the early stages of our investigation. Obviously, trying to collect any evidence, documenting the scene, talking to area residents and neighbors here at the scene," said Sambrano.
