Socorro - A windfall for the Socorro Independent School District.

It is receiving $2.4 million in federal stimulus money.

The grant will be used to replace heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.

To date, El Paso has received a total of $600 million in stimulus money for a variety of projects.
