SOCORRO - The Socorro City Councilman arrested on drug charges is out on bond.

The El Paso County Sheriff's Office confirms Luis Varela is out of jail.

Varela is accused of marijuana delivery and cocaine possession.

Deputies arrested him November 16 in a sting operation.
