'21 Outs' Documentary about the Socorro High School Baseball 5A State Championship team will open Friday at Bassett Place in El Paso with an 8:00pm premiere.  The documentary will run with six shows a day for at least the next week.  The documentary is from filmakers Jess Araujo and Charlie Minn, with Araujo in production for the feature film of the Socorro Championship team.

"21 Outs" a look at the special championship run by the 2009 Socorro HS baseball team will open this Friday at Bassett Place Mall. MLB player Omar Quintanilla is interviewed throughout the film. A close look at ex-coach Chris Forbes is also a highlight in the documentary, along with the teams journey to bring home the first baseball title to El Paso county since 1949 (Bowie HS).

"This is an exciting day", said Chris Forbes.  "I never thought this day would happen. Who would have thought that they were going to make a movie out of our championship team."  Producer and Writer Jess Araujo added, "This is an opportunity for El Paso to get to know, first hand, from the players themselves, the documentary of course focuses on the use of actual players, the champions and heroes of this great story, Coach Forbes and all of the championship players have been interviewed and get a little bit of face time in this documentary."
