Socorro Headed to 5A State Championship Game!

The Bulldogs blow out Austin Westlake 11-3 to advance to the championship tomorrow.

Round Rock, Texas

Tavi Amparan closes out the game against Westlake!

7th Inning: Tavi Amparan pitches the final three outs, as Socorro defeats Westlake, 11-3, and will face Lufkin at 11:00am Mountain Time in the State Championship Game!

6th Inning: In the bottom of the 6th, Westlake walks home a run, then Westlake committs a fielding error and Socorro leads 11-3.

5th Inning: No score by either team, the score remains the same: 8-3 Socorro leads.

4th Inning: Cory Falvey hit a 3-run home run, then Bobby Mares hit a solo home run to give Socorro a 7-3 lead. Chuy Diaz hits an RBI single to make it 8-3 Socorro.

3rd Inning: Socorro committed two errors, as Westlake scored 3 runs to tie the game at 3.

2nd Inning: Aaron Olivas came through again, with an RBI single that scored Chuy Diaz for a 2-0 Socorro lead.

1st Inning: George Stoltz tripled, then scored on an Aaron Olivas sacrifice for a 1-0 Socorro lead.
