Sobriety Checkpoints Planned in Las Cruces Next Month

LAS CRUCES- The Las Cruces Police Department plans to conduct at least four sobriety checkpoints within city limits in July.

Additional enforcement activities conducted this month by LCPD will include saturation, underage and party patrols.

The Las Cruces Police Department encourages those who plan on consuming alcoholic beverages to arrange ahead of time and use a designated driver – someone who will not be drinking alcoholic beverages – for their transportation needs.

Project HOME (Helping Others Make it home Every time) is available Fridays, Saturdays and holidays between the hours of 5:30 p.m. and 3 a.m. For information call (575) 524-TAXI (8294).

If you've had too much to drink you can get a ride home for a small fee.
