There's a computer app for just about everything.
Even a local school district will be using one to teach math.
Socorro will be the first district in Texas to use iPads and the iFuse app.
The iPad will replace the hardbound textbook for hundreds of students.
SISD's Superintendent, Xavier De La Torre, says the iPads cost each school more than $200,000 but points to the potential payoff of the technology.
"We get to see whether or not 320 students go from the 40th/50th percentile to the 90th percentile and I'm here to tell you that if that in fact happens it won't be the last time I buy a tablet and the iFuse app. It will be something that this district will take a great interest in," De La Torre said.
De La Torre says the district may also buy apps for geometry and algebra.
