Alzheimer's Assoc. Sheds Light on Why Summer Months See an Increase in Missing Patients
The family of Miguel "Mike" Olivas has been frantically searching for him since he was last seen on Friday, August 7. They have posted hundreds of fliers in South Central El Paso, the area where he lives, and where he would often walk to and from home.
The Alzheimer's Association says there is no hard evidence why patients go missing more often in the summer months, but do say they believe the heat may be a factor.
The association also has a program in place that provides registered patients with and identification card and bracelet or necklaces.
They also provide 24-hour response service to the family.
If you can help tracking Olivas down, call police at 832-4400.
