El Paso - New DPS signs now warn of El Paso's new cell phone ban while driving.

The ordinance kicks in tomorrow.

Signs dot Interstate 10 stating "City Ordinance Prohibiting Cell Phone Use.  Hands free only and no texting."

El Paso city leaders enacted the ordinance after evidence that cell phone use distracts drivers and causes accidents.

so what the city is telling the public is that the new cell phone ban is more important then putting up signs at school zones. they came out on the News stating that there was no money but yet they are putting up signs for this new law. I think this is not right enforcing this new law when texas passed a law prohibing cell phone laws on school zones. what is this city council trying to tell our drivers that we have no money to enforce texas laws but we do have money to enforce our laws.
