EL PASO, TEXAS — The Better Business Bureau is hosting a 'shred event' for people to bring in important documents that can't just be thrown in the trash.

The event will be held Saturday at the Sam's Club at Cielo Vista off Gateway West in East El Paso, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

People are encouraged to shred to prevent identity theft.

You can take up to 3 bags or boxes and the event is free.
