As the World Cup continues, on Sunday El Pasoans will see its own big soccer match.

One of the most dramatic-looking moves in the game is the 'header', which is hitting the ball with your head.

In the youth level, some believe headers can cause brain injury and concussions.

A group called Parents and Pros for Safer Soccer and the Sports Legacy Institute are pushing to ban headers in youth soccer until athletes reach high school.

Pro player Brandi Chastain is also supporting the ban.

Michael Gutierrez, the president and founder of the El Paso Alliance for Sports Safety, dropped by our studios to talk more about this. Gutierrez is also a certified athletic trainer and currently works at Del Valle High School.
