El Paso Police arrested 25-year-old David Herrera during an undercover operation in Central El Paso Friday night.
Police say Herrera offered to perform oral sex on an undercover officer in exchange for money on the 1900 Block of Texas Avenue.
Police searched Herrera and say he was in possession of marijuana.
He also had outstanding warrants for speeding and no insurance.
The El Paso County Sheriff's Office confirms Herrera had worked as one of its clerks for the last 10 months.
A spokesperson says an internal investigation will be launched and Herrera is facing possible termination.
Herrera is charged with prostitution, possession of marijuana and having 3 outstanding warrants.
