LAS CRUCES- The Animal Service Center of the Mesilla Valley is offering free cat adoptions for all adult cats throughout the month of June.

Cats that are adopted each have received their first set of vaccinations, feline leukemia/immunodeficiency virus testing, are spayed or neutered, a complimentary 30-day insurance policy and have been microchipped with IDs. Adoptable cats can be viewed on www.petango.com/ascmv.

Currently, the ASCMV’s euthanization rate for cats is 81%. This program is intended to lower the number of cats the shelter has to put down.

The ASCMV is open for adoptions seven days a week, from 12:00pm -6:00pm Monday through Friday and 12:00-5:00 pm Saturday and Sunday. ASCMV is located at 3551 Bataan Memorial West.

For more information contact the Animal Services Center at 575-382-0018. The TTY number is 575-541-2182.

I would not take a "micro-chipped" anything.

The governments are eyeing humans next........... NO more tracking of people OR animals. !!!

To Whom it may concern:
I admire what your doing with this Felines, there are so many cats & also dogs that ended up in the streets, and they ended up in the shelters, & euthanized. I'm a Cat Person, more than a Dog Person, and I wish I can adopt an Adult Cat, but I already have one, his name is "Nemo", and believe me, he is a character, has a Unique Personality. He waits for me, when I get out from work, he goes with me to get my mail. And he goes outtside, Do not use the litter box.Lulu K.
