Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts from all across El Paso are spending the week at day camp. The nearly 100 scouts participating are earning merit badges as they work towards their eagle, which is the highest honor a scout can earn. The classes offered range from fire safety, to physical fitness and journalism. Younger scouts are also taking part in crafts. With this year’s theme being “Scouts of the Roundtable” they are building forts and catapults. The camp is being hosted entirely by volunteers and the classes are being taught by qualified volunteers.
