Spring Movie Lineup for UTEP’s “Get Reel” Film Series
El Paso, TX (KTSM) — The University of Texas at El Paso’s Get Reel film series will kick off its spring 2014 lineup with the Oscar-nominated movie Captain Phillips starring Tom Hanks at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31 and Saturday, Feb. 1 at the UTEP Union Cinema.
All films are open to the public.

For Earth Week in April, there will be a showing of Blackfish, a controversial documentary about killer whales kept at sea parks and the trend of deadly attacks against their trainers.
Instructions Not Included is a foreign film from Mexico about a man who adopts a young girl left on his doorstep.
This semester the Get Reel film series will show films on Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m.
General admission for individual films is $2, and $1 for UTEP faculty, staff, students and alumni with valid ID.
Season passes for all 12 films are available to the general public for $20. UTEP faculty, staff and students can purchase a season pass for $10.
