NMSU VP candidate interview rescheduled, another candidate withdraws
Las Cruces, NM (NMSU) — The on-campus interview for Kevin Bean, candidate for New Mexico State University's vice president for university advancement, has been rescheduled for Feb. 11. Bean's interview had to be rescheduled due to weather-related flight cancellations. Joshua Merchant, who was initially scheduled for Feb. 11, has withdrawn from the search.
Cheryl Harrelson is scheduled to interview on campus Feb. 13 and Glenna Beyer visited NMSU Feb. 5.
The community is invited to participate in public receptions for the candidates during the on-campus interviews. The receptions are at 4 p.m. in the Corbett Center New Mexico Room 324.
Bean is formerly associate vice president for university development for major gifts at the University at Albany in Albany, N.Y., and currently owner of Healthier 4U Vending in Glenville, N.Y.
Harrelson is associate vice president for annual and special gifts, stewardship and special events at Washington State University Foundation in Pullman, Wash.
Beyer is managing director for Institutional Advancement at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas.
Each campus visit also includes an open forum for faculty, staff and students to listen to a presentation from the candidates and ask questions. The forums are at 2:45 p.m. in the Corbett Center Auditorium Room 247. The forums will be webcast at http://panopto.nmsu.edu/vpuafps and questions can be submitted by email to VPUNIVAD@nmsu.edu.
