Lucky Mayfield HS student wins car for good attendance

One lucky Mayfield High School student drove away as the winner in this year's Count Me In! car giveaway event in Las Cruces Thursday evening.

Mayfield High School Senior Daniella Martinez was the lucky winner of a 2008 Toyota Prius at the sixth annual LCPS Count Me In! car giveaway event, which recognizes students for good attendance. The car was donated again this year by Vescovo Toyota of Las Cruces and Las Cruces Farmers Insurance agents. When she received the phone call telling her she had won the car, Daniella said, “I didn’t believe it at first.”

Onate High School senior Angel Martinez was the winner of a $1,000 certificate of deposit from First Light Federal Credit Union.

Justin Mauldin, a senior at Centennial High School, won a television set donated by Wal-Mart on Valley Drive.

Joseph Vasquez of Mayfield High School won a pass to all LCPS sporting events next school year.
The winner of the car in the 2014 LCPS Count Me In! car giveaway was Daniella Martinez, a senior at Mayfield High School.
