School Districts Say No to Possible Education Cuts
EL PASO- Representatives from 12 local school districts signed a proclamation today, pledging unity in an attempt to persuade state legislators to avoid education cuts during the upcoming budget process.
The members of the Far West Texas School Boards Association signed the proclamation that specifically urges legislators to recognize what they say is a growing financial crisis in area schools.
Legislators are expected to make across the board cuts during what will likely be a painful budget process. The state currently faces billions of dollars in shortages.
