Tuesday is the last day for early voting for the City of San Elizario's Special Election. The special election is the first of its kind in the newly incorporated City of San Elizario.

Citizens voted to incorporate San Elizario in the November 2013 election in order to prevent the City of Socorro from annexing land within San Elizario.

The special election will be held Saturday, May 10, 2014 from 7am to 7pm.

Citizens will decide on a Mayor from the three candidates: Carlos R. Guerrero, Maya Sanchez and Paul Johnson Jr. Alderperson Place number 1, 2 and 5 are unopposed races, while the race for Alderperson in places 3 and 4 have two candidates each.
