SAN ELIZARIO - The San Elizario fiesta is coming to a close. For three days straight there was food, fun and music all for a good cause.

Organizers of the fiesta say the San Elizario church is in need of major improvements, so this years fiesta came just in time. That's because money raised during the yearly fiesta is used to keep up one of the oldest churches in the El Paso area.

"This has been going on for about 100 years or so. We participate, our parents participated, our grandparents participated. We've been holding this fiesta for well over a hundred years. We're one of the oldest fiestas in the El Paso area," Lillian Trujillo said.

Trujillo says people come from all over the world to have fun at the fiesta, and help out the San Elizario Church.

Just a side fact: Everyone who helped put on and work the fiesta volunteered their time.
