"I've been in business for 40 years and it had never been like this," Loera said.
Busted pipes are costing homeowners a pretty penny and while many businesses had to shut down, sales at this plumbing supply store skyrocketed.
Blanca Loera is the owner of C & L Plumbing Supply and she says her cash sales have gone up 300% in the past week.
"Home Depot even called me to ask me if they could send their customers over. I said yes, no problem, but I didn't think it was going to be that many customers," Loera said.
With people lining up to buy copper pipe she and her staff have been working four to five hours extra each day.
Yesterday, and the day before was like maybe 300 customers a day.
Ernesto Fresquez has become a frequent customer since the snow storm.
"This is my second time today and last week was a couple times," Fresquez said.
He says several stores in town are packed with people all looking to fix their busted pipes.
"Oh, that was a mad house. It was a human rat race, scrambling for stuff. Fighting for stuff," Fresquez said.
Because he's dealing with the issue for a while he has some advice for all you shoppers.
"Grab what you need and leave," Fresquez said.
One thing's for certain, El Pasoans don't want to go through something like this ever again.
"We're selling a lot of insulation cases and cases of insulated because people now are aware that they have to insulate their pipes so that they can last a little bit longer." Loera said.
