The San Elizario High School gymnasium will be available as a temporary shelter tonight if needed for any community member seeking shelter. 

Border Patrol, Lower Valley Water District and Sheriff’s Department officials have set up an Incident Command Center in the San Elizario ISD Adminisration Building.

The El Paso County Sheriff's Office Command Post has been set up at 1050 Chicken Ranch Road, in San Elizario.  

Community people who need to evacuate their homes can find shelter at San Elizario High School (Gym) or the Clint Fire Station.

The Mayor of Socorro would like to alert the public of shelters being set up for its residents affected by the inclement weather.

The first is at the Rio Vista Community Center. The second at Socorro High School.

Red Cross at San Eli ISD facilities open for possible evacuees.

American Red Cross El Paso Supporting Emergency Shelter at Socorro Community Center to Help those Affected by Flooding

Several residents in Socorro were evacuated this morning due to flash flooding, and an emergency shelter is open at the Socorro Community Center, 960 Rio Vista Road.

The American Red Cross El Paso is supporting the shelter with workers, cots, blankets and other supplies to help those needing assistance.

The Salvation Army is preparing meals for those who will need food during this flooding emergency.

An additional shelter is opening at San Elizario High School, 13981 Socorro Road, and the Red Cross will be supporting that location as needed. Additional shelter locations are being considered as rain continues throughout the area.



Sandbags are now available in San Elizario, Horizon, and Clint at the ESD Fire Stations. Please spread the word

Mission Valley is out of sandbags. They are working to get it restocked now. Residents can go to Album Park to pick them up

San Elizario Fire Department:  1425 San Antonio St., San Elizario, TX 79849  

El Paso Water Utility customers, who live within the City of El Paso can pickup sandbags at the following locations. 

There is a limit of 15 sandbags per trip, with several trips allowed. 

The Northeast Stormwater Operations Center is the only location open from 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Westside 120 Kappa Road - adjacent to Keystone Heritage Park   

Central 913 S. Boone St. - Haskell R. Street Wastewater Plant

Eastside Wedgewood Dr. & Lockerbie Ave. - near Album Park   

Mission Valley (OUT OF SANDBAGS) 9144 Escobar Drive -

All other locations are open from 2:00pm - 8:00pm, however are now open for pickup given the heavy volume of rain.
