EL PASO - Earlier Saturday people were on the run to raise money for a children's museums here in the Borderland.
Wearing their runners gear and even Halloween costumes, people hit the pavement to expand exhibits at Insights Science Museum.
The second annual "Run for Science" helps the museum raise money to stay open, because it receives no tax-payer funding.
"We are one of the only science museums, children's museums, along our international border. I would think most people understand that, and we are very fortunate to have the vision of the citizens long before we were here," Mandy Chew, the museum's Executive Director said.
Chew says without their visions the Insights Museum would have never been created, and without today's runners it wouldn't be able to expand.
