El Paso, TX — An early Friday morning accidents hospitalizes two people in Far East El Paso.

Investigation revealed that 21-year old Esteban Carveo drove a 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt Eastbound in the 1300 block of Ventana with 23-year old Elias Gutierrez as a passenger.

Ventana road is under construction and Carveo left the paved roadway when he lost control and the Cobalt rolled several times.

Gutierrez, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle. Carveo was transported to Del Sol, where he remains, with non-life threatening injuries.

Gutierrez was transported to UMC with possible life-threatening injuries.

Investigators believe speed and alcohol are factors on Carveo’s part and no seatbelt on Gutierrez’s part.
