El Paso – The ribbon cutting ceremony for a Lower Valley senior center expansion will be held this morning.

An exercise room, a dance studio and extra seating room was added to The Father Martinez Senior Center at 9311 Alameda Avenue.

"It is great to be able to fulfill the wishes of the Senior Community at Father Martinez. The renovation has been long awaited, and well deserved,” said to City Council Representative Eddie Holguin, Jr.

The project took 8 months and was paid for with Community Development funds.

The ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m. today at the senior center.
